The Air Force recognized the National Air and Space Intelligence Center, or NASIC, with an Air Force Organizational Excellence Award. The award period recognized NASIC accomplishments from Nov. 1, 2007, through Dec. 31, 2008.
The Center's accomplishments during that period included serving as a national intelligence analysis focal point for senior U.S. defense leaders following a North Korean missile launch, developing a comprehensive intelligence needs assessment for the F-35 and revealing Al Qaida training camp activity to aid ground forces.
